GM OSHAWA PROJECT – TRUCK PAINT SHOP AND EAST PAINT SHOP DEMOLITION

The GM Oshawa demolition project was broken into two major phases: demolition of the Truck Paint Shop and demolition of the East Paint Shop. Both of the paint shops were physically attached to active production that remained after demolition. PDI was awarded the job in April 2014 as the general contractor and was responsible for preparing, selling, and shipping the scrap metal directly to the scrap metal receiver. In addition, PDI crushed and used all the granular material onsite from the demolition to fill excavated pits and basements.
