Derek joined Priestly Demolition in 2020, and brings over 18 years of manufacturing and construction experience to the team. He has a keen focus on effectively tracking and planning all of our Canadian projects, as well as setting up PDI teams for future growth and success.
Derek is a proven leader who has managed some of the largest structural steel building projects in Canada. Derek has led various types of teams through complex, high value projects ($5M – $100 Million+). He has a broad technical background including Electrical Engineering (B.Sc.), coupled with extensive structural, civil and mechanical experience.
Derek has experience with managing projects abroad, including South Korea and Rourkela, India where his engineering teams resided in both Canada and the Netherlands. This skill set is important as Priestly often works with clients who have challenging projects in remote areas of the country.
