At the Toronto Pearson Airport, the PDI team was contracted to remove the existing concrete pavement to allow for new pavement to be constructed. Concrete was broken with a hydraulic hammer mounted to a 50T excavator. A second 50T excavator was used to excavate and load trucks for delivery to our onsite crushing operation and the remaining offsite. Concrete and cement stabilized base was 100% recycled. We crushed 75,000 tonnes to 37.5mm minus material and the remaining was crushed offsite. A third excavator was paired with a dozer to excavate and load the granular and sub grade material for offsite disposal.
